Vulnerable communities in India face daily challenges with livelihoods, health, education, housing, etc. Increasing disruptions to their lives through daily shocks and humanitarian events, including pandemics, floods and cyclones, heat and cold waves, and climate-induced shocks, add to their hardships.
Fragmented responses to these events leave gaps that limit recovery and the ability to future-proof their resilience. Vulnerable households need the capacity not only to withstand but also to thrive
Without intentional resilience building, every hard-won gain remains fragile.
Community Action Collab brings together organisations, communities, and systems to build resilience before, during, and after crises.
What began as #COVIDActionCollab (March 2020 – June 2022), a rapid response platform during the pandemic, has since evolved into the Community Action Collab (July 2022 – present), a dynamic, long-term initiative focused on building systemic resilience.
These efforts continue contributing to resilience-building for communities facing health emergencies, climate crises, and socio-economic challenges.
